Welsh Champions Crowned
Welsh Surfing National Championships 2021
Emily Williams takes seventh title at PuraVida – MiPost Welsh National Surfing Championships 2021
After a two-year hiatus, Wales’ most elite surfing contest finally got underway on the weekend of the 18th and 19th September at Freshwater West.
Newport’s Emily Williams put on a surfing masterclass in challenging conditions to claim her seventh Women’s Open title, while Cardiff’s Logan Nicol took the Men’s Open trophy for the first time.
Consecutive stand-out performances through the heats saw Georgina Lewtas crowned champion of the Women’s Longboard category on Saturday evening. Evan Rogers topped the podium in the Men’s Longboard in the following day’s smaller surf.
Huge thanks to all our competitors and spectators for being part of another great Welsh Nationals. A massive thank-you also to our sponsors @puravidaboardriders, #MiPost @power_2go for their terrific support.
