Jesus Surf Series Dates Confirmed for 2025
Dates have been confirmed for the Jesus Surf Series contests organised by Christian Surfers UK, with the focus falling on spring 2025.
Organisers at Christian Surfers UK are delighted to confirm the following dates for two key contests for through the months to come as the organisation continues to serve the surfing community. These contests are the Jesus Longboard Classic, and the Jesus Surf Classic.
First up will be the 17th Jesus Longboard Classic (JLC), always a very popular event, held at its traditional venue of Polzeath, Cornwall. This year the Jesus Longboard Classic will run over the weekend of April 12 & 13. As usual there will be six categories, which are as follows: Under 18s, Open Men’s, Open Women’s, 35 +, 50+ and 60+.
Registration will open in late February. This event is usually oversubscribed and this year looks like no exception, so contestants are advised to enter in good time.
Over the years, this comp has always been held in great partnership with Tubestation based in Polzeath, and this year looks set to be another cracker. While not part of the British Longboard Union (BLU) tour, we are pleased to confirm that we continue to be endorsed by the BLU. The JLC continues to be a welcoming space for seasoned competitors and first timers alike, and we’re looking forward to another brilliant weekend!
The rescheduled Jesus Surf Classic (JSC) will be held at Croyde, North Devon on May 10 & 11. At this stage, the event is not open for new competitors as places are already oversubscribed. Any open spaces will be offered to the reserves. Once this process has taken place, organisers will know if they can reach out for new entries. We are working to confirm a date for the 2025 JSC in autumn.
Both of these events could not be held without the help of an incredible team of volunteers from Christian Surfers UK and other organisations for which we are always very grateful.
We look forward to seeing you at either or both Jesus Surf Series comp events in the coming few months and will update as promised when registration opens for the Longboard Classic.
