PuraVida MiPost Welsh National Surfing Championships 2025 Set for April in Llantwit Major

The Welsh Surfing Federation (WSF) is excited to announce that the 2025 PuraVida MiPost Welsh National Surfing Championships, partnered by Barti Spiced Rum, Welsh Coffee Co, Mystic, and BCRS, will take place at Llantwit Major, Vale of Glamorgan, over an action-packed weekend on April 4th, 5th, and 6th.

A Premier Event in the Welsh Surfing Calendar

This three-day competition will showcase Wales’ top surfing talent, with competitors battling it out for national titles and Welsh team places in this Olympic pathway event.

Mark Vaughan – WSF Director says:

“The WSF has brought the Nationals forward to maximise the chances of securing great waves. Llantwit Major’s infrastructure meets modern surfing regulations and gives us the flexibility to kick-start the event on Friday, April 4th, if necessary.

"We are thrilled to return to this high-performance location, and extend our gratitude to Vale of Glamorgan Council, Channel Coast Surf Club, and Llantwit Major Surf Lifesaving Club for their continued support in hosting Wales’ most prestigious surfing event.

"We also welcome BCRS Finance to our sponsor lineup. We’re proud to continue our partnerships with PuraVida, MiPost, Barti Spiced Rum, Welsh Coffee Co, and Mystic, whose support is invaluable in ensuring the success of Welsh surfing.”

Jim Brooks-Dowsett – Founder, PuraVida (Penarth, Cardiff), says:

“We’re stoked to continue our partnership with WSF and support Welsh surfing. We wish the WSF and all involved every success with the event and look forward to welcoming visitors to the Vale.”

Jonathan Williams – CEO, Barti, says:

“We’re super excited to retain our partnership with the WSF and support the sport of surfing in Wales. We’re stoked to be on board and will be retaining the £500 prize for Wave of the Welsh for 2025.”
