The Wilkinson Sword is POSTPONED
The decision has been made to postpone the Wilkinson Sword inter club competition due to unfavourable conditions. It's going to be 0-1 foot and horrid wind directions!
Keep an eye out for the new dates!
2022 Welsh Nationals – New dates and event split in two!
With an ever increasing number of categories and participants, the Welsh Surfing Federation have taken the decision to split the Welsh Nationals into two events:
The WSF will therefore be running the Junior Welsh Nationals over the weekend of the 7th & 8th May at Freshwater West, Pembrokeshire
Entry forms will become available in the coming weeks.
The Senior Welsh Nationals will take place over the weekend of the 11th & 12th June at either Freshwater West or Llantwit Major – TBC.
Again entry forms will become available in the coming weeks.

Welsh Surf Federation holds ISA judging course in Porthcawl
The Welsh Surfing Federation (WSF) held a successful International Surfing Association (ISA) judging and officiating course at Porthcawl’s YMCA over the weekend.
Become a surf instructor - qualification recognised internationally!!
Ever wanted to be a surf instructor?
The WSF is running a 2-day ISA Level 1 surf instructor course at Llangennith, Gower, South Wales on Saturday 3oth April & Sunday 1st May 2022. Once fully qualified you will be able to work around the world with this internationally recognised certificate, or coach at your local surf school or club.

The date for the Wilkinson Sword inter club contest has been changed to the weekend of 19th & 20th of March 2022.
Do you want to represent? Make sure you are a member of a WSF affiliated club to have a chance to get involved!
It looks like this year's the battle will be between the defending club:
LBR (Langland Board Riders),
and the contenders:
WCSC (Welsh Coast Surf Club)
CCSC (Channel Coast Surf Club)
PSC (Pembrokeshire Surf Clubs)

ISA Judging course set to run on 19th of Feb, 2022
Fancy becoming an ISA qualified surf contest judge? Or want to know how a wave is judged to improve your understanding on how to better your competitive results?
The ISA judging course is a 1-day event. This one is scheduled for 19th Feb, 2022. It will be held in Porthcawl (venue TBC).

2022 AGM will be held via zoom! Email for the link!
Due to the current Covid situation, a face-to-face AGM isn't possible. It will instead be held via Zoom on Sunday 9th January 2022, at 7pm. Please email admin@wsf.wales for the link and the agenda. We look forward to seeing you there, albeit remotely.
