Welsh Surfer Patrick Langdon-Dark Poised for Breakthrough at Caparica Surf Fest

Welsh surfer Patrick Langdon-Dark is preparing to make waves at the upcoming Caparica Surf Fest in Portugal, the final stop of the 2024/2025 World Surf League Qualifying Series (QS). The competition kicks off tomorrow and represents a crucial opportunity for Langdon-Dark, who is chasing a spot on the prestigious Challenger Series – the final gateway to the elite WSL Championship Tour.

Langdon-Dark, often known by his initials "PLD", has had a strong run throughout this year’s QS, consistently showcasing his talent, determination, and competitive edge. With his current ranking positioning him within striking distance of Challenger Series qualification, a solid performance at Caparica could see him achieve a major milestone – becoming the first Welsh surfer to reach this level on the WSL pathway.
