The Welsh Surfing Federation is delighted to announce that the 2024 PuraVida MiPost - Welsh National Surfing Championships partnered by Barti Spiced Rum, Welsh Coffee Co, Mystic and Gower Brewery, will take place at Llantwit Major, Vale of Glamorgan over the weekend of the 26th, 27th and 28th April (no U18, U16, U14 girls or boys will run on the Friday).

The three-day event will see Wales best surfers battle it out for National titles as well as Welsh team places in this Olympic pathway event.

Mark Vaughan – WSF Director
"The WSF are delighted to return to Llantwit Major for the Nationals and are exceptionally grateful to the Vale of Glamorgan council, Channel Coast Surf Club, the local surfing community and Llantwit Major Surf Life Saving Club for their ongoing support.”

“Over the past few years we’ve witnessed some exceptional competitive surfing at Llantwit. The boulder points provide the perfect platform for high-performance competition and the infrastructure allows us to officiate at international level.”

“The 2024 competitive schedule, has forced our hand slightly, and for the first time we will be starting competition on a Friday for the adults only. All U18, U16 and U14 categories will run over the Saturday and Sunday.”

“Also new for 2024, will be the Barti wave of the event cash prize, awarded to the highest single wave scored throughout the event.”

“Unchanged for 2024 is the generous sponsorship received from PuraVida, MiPost, Barti and Welsh Coffee Co.  We also welcome surf brand Mystic and Gower Brewery to the sponsor list, who will be providing winners with fantastic product.
The support offered by these businesses is critical to the events success and we’re exceptionally proud to have them onboard.”

Jonathan Williams - Founder – Barti, Pembrokeshire.
“We’re delighted to expand our sponsorship with the WSF for 2024 and are very excited to see who takes the Barti wave of weekend!
We wish the WSF and all involved every success with the event and look forward to travelling to the Vale.”
